We visited a pumpkin patch for the first time. A local landscape company had a very small one and the price was small too - perfect for us! Evelyn had SO much fun. She knew she would get to pick out a pumpkin and picked out the first one she saw. It was a tiny pumpkin that was part of a display! She wouldn't put it down and we ended up getting that one for her - another tiny one for 'Baby Yogi' and then 2 larger ones for Mommy and Daddy. We have them sitting outside of the front door and everyday on the way in and out she names who the pumpkins are for. She got another tiny one from school so that naturally became Gunner's pumpkin! In addition to picking out pumpkins Evelyn also had a great time in the bounce house and trying out the haybale maze. We also got to ride on a hayrack ride and watch Daddy sling-shot pumpkins at scarecrows :)

Since Daddy and his good buddy Russell get to go to EVERY Husker game, Evelyn and I decided to have a little fun on game day too! We met up with my friend Katie and decided to brave the crowds and check out 'Husker Nation'. Basically they show the game on a big screen TV at the soccer field next to the stadium. The weather the last 2 home games has been gorgeous and we have gone twice to watch as much of the game as we can handle :) There is a lot of good people watching to do and TONS of space to run and have fun. We noticed alot of families having fun playing catch so Evelyn requested that next time we bring a ball so we can 'play baseball' too. Evelyn has enjoyed wearing her Husker gear and looks pretty cute in her Husker dress from friend Shelby.
Another first this fall was Evelyn choosing her Halloween costume and going Trick or Treating! She has known since late September that she wanted to be Tinkerbell - I have NO idea how she knew what Halloween or even a costume was but I asked her what she wanted to be and she promptly replied, 'Tinkerbell!' I toyed with the idea of making the costume but found a little fairy dress up set that was cheaper than the fabric for the wings alone! It also came with the magic wand and (not pictured) princess crown and shoes. We made sure to try it on frequently and get her used to it. It took bribing her the first time to wear anything but the wings - but the time Halloween rolled around she was ready to go! Our daycare had a GREAT family Halloween party on Friday night and Evelyn had fun dancing with her girlfriends while we all watched. There was also a magic show and tons of yummy treats brought by the families and the sisters. When it finally came time to Trick or Treat only about 4 houses on our block had their lights on. We only know 2 of those so did our Trick or Treating there. The ladies LOVED Evelyn's extreme cuteness and kept piling the candy in her bucket. The best part, by far, was Evelyn handing out candy to the kids who came to our house. Unfortunately the Trick and Treaters were pretty slim so we passed the time by having Evelyn come to our door and giving her candy.(see video) She was so enthusiastic and we all had so much fun!
